No doubt everyone should have a blog. I like to think that a blog is your home on
the internet. Owning a little piece of the web is one of the best ways to begin
to brand you. We all know that people join people and if your spending your time
trying to market your business…you are wasting time and money.

There is not any shortage of business opportunities online. A couple of minutes
on google searching key terms like, ‘make money online’ will no doubt bring you a
flood of choices. Most people already have a business and need help with
marketing. You quickly get caught up with the ‘My business is better than yours’

Bad Idea. The second biggest struggle is self development. I would say that
marketing and self development are the 2 biggest struggles people have. If you

leads from it. It takes time to rank for keywords and if your sponsoring people
in your business, the first 90 days is very important.

You need a generic marketing system that covers all of the basis. A system that
allows a new person to leverage the system on their weaknesses. Having the

There are plenty of marketing systems out there that teach people how to market
online. But I can only think of one that teaches people how to become a better
person. Have you ever heard the saying, ‘In order to make more you have to become
more?’

The moral of the story is that people need a marketing system that covers every
area of success. One that is not designed to make the owners rich. One that
allows you to become a professional pointer. One that allows the new person to
begin to brand themselves as the expert.

Hu? How to make a long tail keyword….has he gone crazy. No, well OK maybe just a little bit. Let me explain.

keywords are the phrases or words that are being searched for on the internet. Pick your favorite search engine and everyday millions are typing words in, hoping to find the information they are looking for. It is important to know how many times a phrase is being searched and what type of competition is out there.

Long tail keywords are just that. A phrase or term that is longer than say, 3 words. So instead of searching for ‘network marketing’ someone maybe typing in ‘network marketing home based business’. Usually the longer the phrase the less competition, which means high ranking for you. That is the name of the game, right?

Creating your own long tail keywords is easy. Lets say you find a nice phrase that is between one and three words. Nice phrase is one that is searched for at least 1000 per month and has little or no competition. Lets pretend that the phrase, ‘MLM training’ is one of those phrases. You could easily add a word or two in the beginning or the end of the phrase. ‘Free MLM training’ or ‘MLM training for beginners’ are a few examples. What your doing here is making the term sound natural and also adding a little bit of your own pizazz.

If your building a network marketing business and looking to rank organically with Google, you need to stay creative and natural. Search engines are making things harder to rank for, especially the make money at home crowd.

Do a little keyword research, brainstorm some ideas and get to writing good, original content. Stay away from gimmicky techniques that will get your site sand boxed or banned. Do not waste valuable time or money on your reputation.

I can hear you now, ‘Five nights a week, what about my family, friends & TV?’ This business is certainly about balance. Its decision time baby…and making choices can be hard for some.

One must manage time whenever they add something new to their schedule. Starting or building a business from home is no exception. We all take the easiest path of resistance, when looking for more time.

Most will neglect the people or things in life they take for granted. I am guilty of that myself. I am talking about those people or things that we assume will always be there.
I had to look at what I did everyday and make certain that family life did not suffer. Cutting things like TV was a whole lot easier.

Another mistake I made was not writing down a schedule of relevant business building tasks. Surfing the web and sorting emails usually is not very productive. If you only have 30 minutes, make sure you maximize that time. Email can be a time-killer, make sure you have filters set up ,so you are not wasting time with emails that are not very important.

Make your car a rolling university. Sitting in front of the computer listening to a recorded call is a waste of time. Burn a cd or put the call on your mp3 player. Stop listening to the morning news or some other crap!

Working your business five days a week is not hard when you really look at your time. With todays technology you should be able to take some of your tasks outside the home office. This will free you up to work on things that require your computer. Treat your business like a hobby and you might as well be playing the lottery.

Did you even know that you can create categories within your blog?
I have seen too many blogs where the post are not even categorized. Now you might think that this is a minor flaw, but if your trying to rank in the search engines then you better listen up.

In case you have not figured this out yet, search engines love fresh, relevant content and they also try really hard to categorize that content. Making it a pleasant process for those that are searching.

First my disclaimer. I am guilty of having a blog that is not always neat and I have not always used categories properly. I am trying to clean up my act a little.

Anyway, back to categories. Think of them as keywords, broad keywords. File your posts within them accordingly and make sure the content is relevant to the category. The Big G and all of the other engines will love this. If your planning your blog, then make certain to do proper keyword research before. Plan for the main keyword you want to rank for and choose several categories. As with everything else do not go over-board with this.

Next time you post something make sure you also have a category for it. You will find as time goes by, more and more of your blog will get noticed. Traffic equals money.
