According to Reuters, it is official that the company Arbonne has file for chapter 11 protection.

I must say that I am not a distributor for Arbonne, but my wife has used some of their products in the past and was very happy with them. One would be hard pressed to find any bad comments about their products.

No doubt quality products are vital to the success of any company. But this is just a good example for those that are trying to build a business by leading with your primary opportunity.

Branding you, not your opportunity is the key to building a big organization. Advertising self replicating websites only promotes the company that owns them.

It is always better to promote you, brand you. Companies come and go. Offer solutions for the problems that most people have. Create relationships that go beyond the opportunity. Help others and you will find yourself very successful.

Its so popular that search engine giant Google has bought YouTube. Ranking videos has never been easier.

Most people would agree that watching a how to video is much easier than reading about it. What is even better is if you have a guide along with a video. Provide something of value and not just a video of you telling everyone how great your company is.

If your going to shoot a video of yourself then give some advice or tips about advertising. Maybe a new idea about facebook or myspace has been working for you. Teach something of value and you will position yourself as a leader. Never, ever pitch your business. What to do with your movies?

Here is a quick marketing guide to getting your videos ranked on the first page of Google. First you want to do a little keyword research. Find those words and terms that are getting some searching and grab the low hanging fruit or the ones that are not too competitive. I like to have at least 1000 searches a month and a competition of less than 15,000.

After you find your term go ahead and create your video. I always upload it to youtube first. Be sure to include your main keyword in your title. In you description be sure to put your website URL in the first sentence of the description box. Finish off with a nice description of your video.

You can also create an account with tube mogul and upload your video to multiple sites. This is a free service with limitations about sharing marketing videos.

Next step you will want to write a short blog post (if you have a blog) or create a squidoo lens about your video. Be sure to link back to your video using anchor text with your keywords. This is a very important step in this process. Think of it as advertising for your video. Promote the promotion.

Once your done with your squidoo lens head over to your favorite pinging site. Ping goat or pingomatic and ping your squidoo lens. You should also create an account with onlywire or socialmarker so you can bookmark your video. This is a huge time saver an you can post to about 20 different sites at the click of a button.

That is it. If you complete all the steps correctly I can promise you will hit the first page of Google every time. Marketing with video, every step is important and if you miss one or pick a bad keyword, forget it. Your video will be buried in the pile with the rest of the marketers that decide to take short cuts.
